Who we are
Chris has always enjoyed working with his hands. When he was a kid he decided to take a hammer to his parents’ concrete steps - which was satisfying to him, but… not much appreciated…
He completed his degree in Business Administration from Rochester Community and Technical College while working in retail for over a decade: as manager of the Target Food court, and then Target Deli.
In 2012 Chris transitioned to the monument industry as head sandblaster, gaining experience in both the auto booth, as well as by hand, which included shape-carving. While still operating as head sandblaster his role later expanded to include production manager. In 2021 he began exploring the design process, and in 2023 he transitioned to focusing primarily on layouts and improving his skill on increasingly complex sandblasting projects.
Chris began Steadfast Stoneworks LLC in Spring of 2025.
Chris lives in Rochester, MN with his amazing wife and four wonderful children. He has lived here his entire adult life, having established strong roots in Southeastern Minnesota.
He has been actively involved in the Slatterly Park Neighborhood Association Board for years, and takes great pride in his contribution to making his community a better place for us to live. He is also active in his church community, and especially enjoys working in the Youth programs. He is also a key support to our local special needs population through his dedication to volunteering for the nonprofit Autism Resource Guide since its inception in early 2022.
